How to Create a Brand Board

Branding is important for any and every business. Consistent branding is what helps create brand recognition so that potential customers remember you. Branding isn’t just about a single color, sentence, or logo. It’s more complex than that. Branding is a combination of many factors that include your company’s mission, values, story, attitude, messaging, aesthetic, and style.

Creating a brand or brand identity can feel overwhelming. A brand board can help you to organize your branding elements in one place and helps eliminate some stress. Creating a brand board also helps you to create a seamless and professional look for your brand.

So you may be wondering, what is a brand board?

A brand board is similar to a mood board. It displays your logo variations, fonts, and color palette, submarks, and images for inspiration. You can also include patterns, textures, and any other inspiration pieces that you see fit.

What makes a brand board stand out?

A good brand board is one that effectively showcases your brand’s unique style and visual identity. Your brand board should allow people to see, know, and feel your brand's personality and style. Potential customers/clients should be able to recognize your brand almost immediately when seeing it.
